Country Living: I’ve never been to Lubbock. Honestly, I had never even heard of it until about a week before writing this. It’s a city in west Texas, by the way. But all because of a Flatland Cavalry song, I now have so much passion for this place I’ve never even been to. Maybe it’s because the song is incredibly catchy and I can’t seem to stop singing it, especially at the end where the band sings a cappella and it’s just their voices, hands clapping, and boots stomping. Or, maybe it’s because even though I couldn’t tell you where it is on a map, I know what it’s like, because I have my own Lubbock. And hopefully, you do too.
