Country musician Jordan Harvey is married!
On Jan. 5, the singer tied the knot with professional dancer Madison Fendley at Dalhousie Castle in Midlothian, Scotland.
“After my first conversation with Jordan, I knew that he was going to be my very best friend, but I had no idea that he would become my whole world!” Fendley tells PEOPLE.
Adds Harvey: “I knew from the second I saw Madison carrying a red velvet cake out at a friend’s pool party that we were going to be together forever.”
For their nuptials, the couple rented out the entire Scottish castle for 3 days, so that their guests could all stay together on the property. They kicked off the 3-day long celebration with a welcome party on Thursday.
“I was never the little girl that dreamed about her wedding. In fact, I never even thought about what my wedding would be like until I met Jordan,” Fendley says. “After the first time I visited Scotland, I knew I wanted to have our wedding there, and after touring Dalhousie Castle, which was the first wedding venue we toured, I knew it was perfect.”
The couple, who first met at a mutual friend’s birthday party during the pandemic didn’t hire a wedding planner. Instead, Fendley says she and her mom planned the wedding. They also had help from the events coordinators, Hannah and Mirren at Dalhousie Castle.
“I wanted our wedding decor to look classic, elegant, and beautiful, which was extremely easy to achieve because the castle is absolutely stunning on its own,” Fendley says. “But we truly wanted the focus of our wedding day to be our love and commitment to each other.”
